PROJECT DURATION 2026–2028

Skupaj za zdravje

Building Capacity to Prevent Behavioural Addictions

About the Project

Skupaj za zdravje – Better Support for Young People in the Digital World

The Skupaj za zdravje project is a national programme aimed at strengthening capacities for the prevention of behavioural addictions among children, adolescents and young adults. It was developed in response to the growing challenges associated with excessive use of digital technologies, social media, video games and gambling, as well as their impact on young people’s mental health.

The programme brings together the healthcare, education, social care and youth sectors and promotes the development of modern, evidence-based approaches to prevention.

Through professional training, support systems, digital tools and communication activities, the project will contribute to a more coordinated and effective approach to preventing behavioural addictions across Slovenia.

Purpose of the Project

Knowledge, Collaboration and Support for the Early Prevention of Behavioural Addictions

Digital addictions and gambling-related behaviours among young people are becoming increasingly common challenges in modern society, with potentially negative effects on mental health, relationships and overall well-being. At the same time, professionals and organizations often lack the support, knowledge and tools needed to prevent and address these issues effectively.

The project aims to equip professionals with the knowledge, competences and tools required to effectively identify, prevent and address behavioural addictions, while also providing young people and those close to them with reliable information, supportive resources and accessible sources of help.

The project is based on cross-sector collaboration, the exchange of good practices and the active involvement of young people in co-creating solutions.

What We Aim to Achieve

Project Objectives

1

Training for Professionals

Regional and online training programmes will be delivered for professionals working in healthcare, education, social care and the non-governmental sector who work with children, adolescents and young adults.

2

Establishing a Professional Support System

Through supervision, peer consultation and a buddy system, professionals will be supported in applying their knowledge in practice while helping to build a sustainable support network for the prevention of behavioural addictions.

3

Developing and Improving Prevention Programmes

Drawing on proven practices from Slovenia and abroad, we will develop new content and enhance existing programmes for the prevention of digital addictions and risky behaviours.

4

Digital Tools to Support Young People and Professionals

By developing online solutions and self-assessment tools and introducing the ready4life programme, we will improve access to information, self-help resources and professional support.

5

Raising Awareness and Engaging the Public

Through national communication campaigns, webinars, local events and collaboration with young people, we will improve awareness of the risks associated with behavioural addictions and encourage healthier habits.
