With the establishment of the Institute for Health and the Environment, we laid the foundations for an organization that today helps drive change in the fields of health and the environment at both national and international levels.
Through active advocacy on tobacco control, we helped achieve the adoption of stricter measures to protect public health, with a particular focus on vulnerable groups.
Receiving public-interest status in environmental protection in 2019 and in healthcare in 2022 confirmed our role as an important actor at the intersection of these two fields.
By co-founding Impact Hub Ljubljana, we created new opportunities for collaboration, entrepreneurship and innovation with a positive social impact.
With the introduction of the Ecological Footprint Calculator, we enabled individuals to better understand their own impact on the environment. Through dedicated campaigns, we also raised awareness about humanity's demand exceeding our planet's capacity and about Earth Overshoot Day.
Through the Alcohol Holds Slovenia Back campaign, we opened a broader discussion about the impact of alcohol on health and society.
Our Sustainaware project received the Climate Bridges Award, recognizing the quality and international relevance of our work.
Through active participation in international networks such as the Health and Environment Alliance – HEAL, we strengthen Slovenia's voice in European decision-making processes related to health and the environment.
With the establishment of the spin-off company Impact360 d.o.o., we are building on our work by developing solutions and services for both the private and public sectors.
By becoming a World Health Organization Collaborating Centre, we will further strengthen our role and impact internationally.
