Sustainaware: Climate Action Going Digital Through Multisectoral Synergies and Learning Innovation

The Sustainaware – Climate Action Going Digital is an innovative initiative that combines education with awareness-raising, driving tangible social impact in the areas of climate change, sustainability, and the intersection of environment and health. Focusing on young people, the project highlights the development and use of interactive digital tools to encourage their active involvement in addressing environmental challenges.

The aim of the project is to connect organisations, young people, and experts to collaboratively create innovative educational tools and enhance awareness of sustainable development. This collaboration will generate new ideas and strategies to tackle environmental challenges, which will have long-lasting effects.

A key objective of the project is to develop comprehensive training packages for organisations, including materials and guidelines for cross-sectoral cooperation on sustainability and climate change. A central outcome and innovation of the project is the development of a digital escape room that will enable young people to learn about and find solutions to the challenges of climate change in a creative way.

As part of the project, we will also develop learning tools and guidelines for organisations on how to effectively engage young people in sustainability initiatives. With these tools, we aim to equip youth with the competencies necessary for effective participation in addressing the most pressing challenges of our time.

Project partners: Youth Health Organization (project coordinator), Institute for Health and Environment, Youth and Environment Europe, Escape4Change.

Project duration: from 1 December 2023 to 30 November 2025.

The project is co-funded by the Erasmus+ program of the European Union.
